Still tops my list of Syrahs and easily the best value. Powerful, but beautifully integrated dark blueberry-blackberry with a touch of spice. It benefitted from a three hour decant.

Perhaps my favorite Syrah and definitely as great a value as I have found. Alluring nose and powerful, big, smooth, dark, blackberry, raspberry fruit with a pleasong long finish. A slight alcohol burn detracted from an even higher score.

Whoa...this is good! Syrah dominate wine with 3% Roussanne & 2% Clairette Blanc. Bold up front fruit profile of black currant, blueberry, and blackberry. A very decadent wine with notes of violets, licorice, white pepper, spice, and blackberry liqueur. Smooth, supple tannins, firm acidity, and a beautiful long finish. So good right now...glad I have more.

Big and bold. Dark fruit aromas and flavors, fruit forward, blackberry, blueberry, cassis. Full body, medium acidity, smooth tannins with long finish. Characteristics of a cool weather Syrah. Very good.

Epic, dark-spiced fruit in a benchmark Paso syrah. Full-bodied, dried blackberry and dark plum fruit, with mouthwatering acidity, minerally tannins, toasted oak, and a warm, lingering finish. 3% Roussanne, 2% Clairette Blanche add richness to the spicy, smooth heat. A distinctive Paso Robles syrah by a great producer, with its best years ahead.

Color of deep dark red. Scents of blackberry and black cherry. Tastes of blackberry, black cherry and some spice, with a full bodied, and smooth, mouthfeel. Syrah 95%, Roussanne 3%, Claitette Blanche 2%.

2 hour decant. Deep opaque garnet to purple. Woodsy earthy nose with blackberries and raspberry. Flavors are similar with an earthy maple syrupy flavor but without the sweetness. Tart acidity and medium tannins. Silky mouthfeel. Full bodied. About 94-95.

Tasting at the winery. 95% Syrah, 3% Rousanne, 2% Clairette Blanche. Big dark nose of minerals and blueberries. Absolutely lovely. Loads of dark fruits, velvety smooth needs time to mature and fully integrate, but hard to leave alone now. Clearly worth the price of admission and getting on their mailing list. My wine of the day with lots of competition.
