Huff Estates, South Bay Vineyards Chardonnay, Prince Edward County

Not being an old Chardonnay fan I was leary about this wine but Larry quite enjoyed it and it became his white of the day (mine was the Peller at the bottom of this list): candied corn, creamy with buttery-hazelnut and almond; there's a sweet nose with a palate that has a little caramel corn. Finish isn't bad either.

This is very impressive. Just like a meursault. Nice aged golden hue with tropical notes and burnt butter. Fabulous length.

Tardy , nutty apple and plum with freshness. Well made , well flavoured.

Similar notes. Always a winner. Upstaged the chablis with the nose. Buttery, mineral with hazelnut finish.

Brought to restaurant. Consistent notes. Mineral and buttery oak. Fine acidity.

Excellent! On first taste, quite acidic, but this acidity makes for a very pleasurable wine experience! Moderate oak treatment lets the fruit shine through. No formal tasting notes, but fantastic.

Hats off, gentleman. A genius of a wine. While I have spent more than $30 on a domestic Chardonnay before, I have never been convinced of any of them. This is breathtaking in its varietal concentration and intensity. Added to it well judged racy acidity, juicy white pit fruit and even nervosite makes for a complete package.
