Chateau Laribotte, Sauternes

Have no idea where this bottle came from, but it had been with me for many years (only the last 2 years in proper cellar). What should I say... Diesel! That took much of the nose I must say, although at the same time made the wine an experience. More mellow in the mouth, with some of the sweetness intact. Dried fruits throughout. Paired ok+ with almond cake, but I aborted the planned attempt on pairing with rouquetfort cheese.
