Swishing shows the intense acid backbone, but the acids are now creamy and the wine has taken on an almost oily character that is reminiscent of Gewurtztraminer. Popped and poured. Color straw. Nose shows gruner fruits with predominant white floral notes and intense minerality. At first blush this shows brash mouth-puckering acids. With air and after this warms up (and maybe the palate succumbs?) this takes on a much more fruit driven flavor profile that coats the mouth with a creaminess and length that belies it's $12 price tag.
