Relatively strong oak for an otherwise crisp and spicy mid palate and finish. A good but over the hill expression of charmes. Went well w crab cakes and sautéed flounder, Chef Vola's always the best.....

Green apple and wet pavement on the nose. Apple, peach peel, fairly sharp minerality on palate. Very fresh, good delineation and depth of flavors. Seemed more Puligny than Meursault, which is not too uncommon for Charmes. Ideal with whole roasted, crispy flounder at Pelican Club.

This was a bit leaner than I recalled, but still a delightful wine. While there was plenty of fruit, it was mainly citrus and not what I expected from this property in this vintage. I would have like a bit more body and a touch of lush fruit underneath (maybe because that's what I was expecting). Nevertheless, it was a very nice foil for the rich froglegs.
