pulled this for Sunday dinner, gave it about 30 minutes in the decanter. Wow, what a tasty wine. drank best in the first hour. dark garnet in color, aromas of black and blue fruits. Deep, rich black and red fruits - black cherries, cassis, and plums. evolves on the palate to include dark chocolate, baking spices, hint of anise. satisfying finish. Bevan did a great job blending grapes from four vineyards, and adding dollops of merlot and cab franc as …

Unabashedly Napa cab. Typical Bevan. Well executed with fruit front and center. Mild to medium tannin and acidity. Smooth. Good quality fruit forward cab without extraction. Doesn’t require much thought but well made for what it is.

So tasty and full of life. Rich, ripe, roasted dark berry fruits, green olive juice, chocolate wafers, hint of vanilla bean, tobacco, mocha and cedar. Nice acidity, big tannins on a super finish. Possibly my top 3 favorite Bevan bottles. Cheers!

Continues to be excellent. Same as prior notes over the past 18 months. Decanted 30 min and was open, smooth and balanced, juicy fruit—berries with a note of pink grapefruit pulp. Chocolate, mocha and spice. Too easy to drink and the last glass (in hotel no special storage) on day 2 was equally good.

Pnp. Dark exuberant fruit characteristic of Bevan. Took a few hours to open up but drank well. The fruit was front and centre with smooth but present tannins. I’d hold for a few years yet.

Just excellent, similar to my previous notes. Drank this pnp and then over a few hours. From past experience this gets way better after a few hours or even the next day, but it didn’t last long enough this time. I feel like these Addax ‘19 cabs are just always a sure thing.

Explosive aromas from first pour. Intense depth of dark fruits, briny olives, savory notes, vanilla custard, mocha, chocolate, barrel spices and fresh herbs. Bright acids, great tannic structure, full-bodied and opulent. Awesome finish. Cheers all!

I tasted this alongside the Addax Tench a few weeks back in Napa. This was opened at the table, so little air time. The grapes come from Tench, Tigan and Morisoli vineyards, making this a Rutherford/oakville blend. Rich black and red fruits, full bodied, with notes of dark chocolate, leather and cedar. Smooth tannins. I would give this 3-5 hours of air, or wait a few years. The Tench had a similar profile, but far more power and over the …

Opened yesterday and had several glasses after a 2+ hour decant. Was very good but not giving all that it could, I worried I had missed the window. 24 hrs later (in glass bottle with some headspace in the fridge overnight) it is worthy of the 95 pt score. Deep dark luscious fruit, graphite, chocolate, spice, perfectly textured tannins, long finish. So indulgent. Hard to believe this is the NV. Leaving the SV’s alone for awhile.

Purple color, aerated with Aervana. Explosive and bombastic. Intense rich dark fruits, layers of creamy berries, black cherries, plum sauce, graham crackers, snickerdoodle, vanilla wafers, cocoa nibs, briny green olives, mild salinity and graphite. Unapologetic and opulent. Can’t get enough. I need more! Cheers 🍷🍷

Let us say it was in the name of science. or, a sense of compassion for my fellow man. Mostly, there was a sense of paranoia, but based upon a recent review, I felt compelled to pop one of these with Sunday dinner. The wine opens with an intense bouquet of cassis, and violets. Black and blue fruits, cocoa, mushrooms, and hint of licorice. Dense, rich and dark. Reminds me Lewelling Wight at times. Nice acidity, balance, minerals. It did …

Rats! Generously gifted this bottle by the DQ, but I think I've missed the early drinking window now, with this one! This drank exactly like the '18 Zakin that HMC brought to the tasting a couple of weeks ago. Nice, rich, dark red fruited wine on the coravin pour. Sweet, quality winemaking on display with excellent weight in the glass and mouth, but about 20-30 min in, it all turns to black bitter fruit with sage and green, stemmy herbs. …

Cablover has it right even though he is the only reviewer. I have tried this a few times in tastings and not noted, this is the first of my own bottles and OMG. So good in that hedonistic fruity luxurious way. I decanted for four hours and drank over two. Couldn’t be better. Might be one of the few Napa cabs I will keep buying. Pure pleasure.

3 hr decant. Deep purple. Explosions of dark fruit on nose and palate. Anchored by notes of briny green olives, flint, milk chocolate and tobacco. Plenty of young tannins are but are tamed. Purity of fruit is remarkable! Cheers! 🍷

4 hr decant, eggplant purple, fragrant nose of blueberries, blackberries, plums, menthol, wild flowers, orchids, sage, sweet barrel spices, pleasant savoriness and mint chocolate. Silky, bold, highly flavorful on the palate, creamy dark fruits, coating acidity and ripe tannins on long delicious finish! Thanks to wifey for some of the notes. Cheers all!

Big pleasure bomb. Nice follow-up to the AXR reserve but way different. This is a rich, concentrated, opulent ripe-fruited wine. Purity and lushness are the words that come to mind. Mixing in sliced mushrooms, minerals, and chocolate. Somehow Bevan retains freshness, with tongue coating soft tannins that lead to a very long finish. This is still a baby and will get better! Cheers 🍷

So lucky to get my hands on the ‘19 pre-release. 3.5 hr decant, incredible aromas of pressed black olives, savory herbs, crushed blackberries, dark cherry preserves, tapenade, and tobacco leaf. Opulent and Plush on the palate, mouth-coating with dusty dark fruits, sweet minerals, lively acidity and powdery tannins on an amazing finish. Bit hot in beginning but it settled. Great wine.
