This wine was a pleasant surprise. Cherry, Fruit, a bit of spice on the nose. Decanted for thirty minutes. Paired very nicely with a heavy garlic meal. Dry finish, 15-20 sec. Nice flavor of berry, a bit of spice. I hope the other three bottles hold up as well. Great value for $8

Three of four of these now gone and paid under $10 a bottle. Brambly dark cherries with a bit of oak and drying tannins. Passible but that's about it.

Had on second day of being open. Nose is pretty much gone at this point with just a hint of tar. Taste is dark fruit with a bit of earthiness to it. Pretty smooth then the tannins kick in. $10 bottle on second day; wasn't expecting much, didn't get much.

Opened and let sit in the bottle for 90 minutes before trying. Nose is a little brambly dark cherries with some oak influences. Taste is earthy dark fruit; dominated by the drying tannins. Spent under $10 so can't complain at the price point but not memorable though.

Decanted this time. Nose full of green in the first glass, but no green in the second glass an hour or so later. Better structure than the first bottle. Overall, I think the decanting was the right move. Quite drinkable. Not sure what wine spectator was tasting, as I get very little fruit and no pepper at all. The wine is very dry with faint earth tones.
