Delightful and at its prime

Surprised significantly on the upside. Was expecting the worst -- vintage to which time has been unkind + wine that seemed geared for "early enjoyment". Instead, bottle showed: color: red-purple, little bricking; nose: dried fruit (mix) and crushed leaves; palate: secondary components mixed with still-lively fruit on the black end of the scale (though less so than 3 years ago). Great balance with no heat to speak of. Drink soon, but no major rush, it seems.....
