Full purple/black. Aroma of plums jam, tar, treacle, eucalyptus and hot earth. Lovely rich, but dry, flavour of blackberry, thyme, blueberry, touches of aniseed and ginger. Really excellent.

This wine is seriously good value (imo). Balsamic, cocoa and a little herbaceous notes on the nose. Body is on the lighter side of full but that comes from the softening from the Riesling. Blue and black fruit mainly along with some inky notes, pepper, vanilla and balsamic again on the palate. Drinking well now after a short decant - I’d say it’s got a few years in the tank but 3-5 tops in my humble opinion!
