Massican Emilia Bianca

Nose is crisp and fresh with lemon and apples. Crisp acidity, floral with notes of honeycrisp apples and peaches, tinged by lemons. Supple and fresh, the ending is medium-long with lingering citrus and a touch of pleasant herbal notes. Quite good white wine, enjoyed by itself and with Mahi Mahi. Reminded me of a crisp Italian Vermentino if you like.

Light straw color. Lots of apple and peach on both the nose and palate. A really pleasant wine. With the notes of minerality this wine has some complexity.

Very decent - minerally, nutty, somewhat saline.

Emilia Bianca is utility wine. A blend of half Sauvignon Blanc, then Pinot Bianco, Ribolla Gialla, and Tocai Friulano. Has a sturdy Napa backbone, the freshness and crisp acid of Sancerre. Delicate and pretty and reliable.

This time tasted a bit different. Palate of petrol, pine, grass, chalky lime. Still a bit more perfumey/potpourri for me on the nose and finish.

Not a bad showing for a white wine you can pick up at WF. Has some of the trademark Massican zip. But perhaps a bit too strong on the perfumey, potpourri pinot bianco that hides the citrus and fleshier tropical fruits. If you taste this and wish it had a bit more pizzazz (acidity, striking fruit, not plush or oak) then come with me to the Annia and SB.
