Not much to write about here. Dark, spicy but tight nose. Dark fruit flavor but rather light moutfeel. Not very bold...just sort of there. First night the alcohol was a little hot on the backend but smoothed out the second night.

Weird dirty smelly wine. Tastes like a fart in a trash can.

Good bottle, lots of flavor, interesting smell that could use a more trained dissection. Would drink again.

It's a synthetic cork, so it can't have been corked, but it was horrid, and we've had this before and found it to be okay. Giving it the benefit of the doubt here, otherwise a 72 point wine.

Wine Spectator gives this wine an 85, not a keeper or repeater.

Inexpensive every day wine. Not outstanding, but good for an informal gathering. Medium weight, fruity.

Another from the Wines of the World. I'm not sure how to rate this. At first I thought it was OK, but it developed a skunky taste that was very pronounced the next day. Not sure if the bottle was bad.

Friends brought 2 bottles for a poker tournament. Nice fruity nose, but found the flavour bland.

Ruby red color with light body. Brown sugar, leaves, and apple aromas with cherry flavors. Long spicy finish.

I may be getting tired of this or it is inconsistent but it tasted a bit vinagry.

Needs to breathe. Good and simple- almost too sweet Syrah.

Fun! Nice combination of jammy fruit, spicy notes and just the right amount of acidity.

A very funky wine--and not necessarily in a good way. There was a pruney, raisiny aroma on first opening, and a bit of prune and spice on the palate. I thought it might have been tainted by the plastic cork that they use, so let is sit for a while. It's more plummy than prune now, but there isn't much going on here and it's not even that appealing as a quaffing wine since it doesn't have enough engaging fruit …

Riverview Tasting (Post Oak Lodge (Tulsa, OK)) : A simple wine with soft black fruits, soft tannins and hints of something interesting (herbs, etc). Fine for picnics, and simple quaffing, but there are more interesting reds from France in the price range that offer more for the money.
