Lovely, young premier cru Chablis. Aromas are delicate with notes of flint, honey, pear and green apple with just a subtle notion of butter. Bold and textured on the palate with crisp acidity and excellent, memorable length. Flavours of lemon / lime are met with sweet and long candied apple and pear. Wonderful wine that will be even better in 3 years.

Domaine des Hates Visit with Vintage '59 (Maligny) : Brief tasting note, winery visit. Richest, most powerful wine in today's lineup, with expansive citrus and (less mineral but) more salinity, lemon zest. West-facing site, 3 parcels, oldest vines date from 1975, youngest from the mid 90's.
