Absolutely delicious. Lush dark fruit on the nose that just kept getting better over the course of the evening. On the palate, more of the same with added dark cocoa notes and a long finish. Everything was in harmony with this bottle. I wish there had been more time to decant. Bought from the winery on release, this is one of those bottles that truly rewards having been cellared and waiting for the right time to open.

Had this wine last night with some friends at Capital Grille. It was perfect. Really, perfect. I couldn't find a single flaw with the wine. The fruit was fantastic. The finish divine. The taste was over the top. Everything you want in a Napa Cab. One of the best bottles of wine I've had in a very long time.

2006 was the first pluribus I tried. I first tried it at the Bond tasting room way back when and I thought it had huge potential. I thought it had more interesting undercurrents than a lot of the other Bond wines. Since then I think the pluribus has established itself as one of the two best bond wines. The 2006 Pluribus is a pleasant surprise from this largely overlooked vintage. All things considered, the 2006 has retained striking freshness and energy. There is plenty of raciness to the blue/purplish fruit, along with the heavy oak signature that was the norm at the time. Even so, the 2006 has aged beautifully.

The (annual) tasting at Loek's anniversary (His tasting room) : Tasting note 5,003: A bit ferocious, deep coloured, a modest sweetness in the midtaste, very concentrated and not in the (sometimes)) too voluptuous Californian style, recognizable, but ripe tannins. For me this '06 is more balanced than the '03.

Enjoyed over Christmas Eve dinner at local restaurant. Decanted but was drinking nicely from first pour. Tannins are soft and supple and flavors of leather & dark fruit.

Deep ruby almost ink. Tight at open, needed about two good hours of air to really come alive. Nose was thick with tart cherry mixed with cassis. Evolved nicely over the evening, starting with fruit and bringing coffee, iron, pepper on the palate. Finish was great. Very good wine.

Drank at The Arthur J in Manhattan Beach - stellar wine, still loaded with tannins and fruit. Made for red meat - once the fat coats your mouth, the wine plays off of it so well. Truly a treat.

Classic BOND. Lots of dark fruits on the nose. At first there was a bit of alcohol on the nose, but about 30 minutes of being opened, it disappeared. Very complex and long finish. Notes of cassis, tobacco and even some leather character in the taste. Very strong wine that kept getting better and better. Would have rated this a 90 at opening, but several hours later, the bottle developed even more. Very nice wine to drink.

HDH holiday tasting (Chicago, IL) : Overoaked. Too much vanilla and blueberry and yet, by some miracle of nature, this somehow manages to be green and overripe at the same time. And then you feel the alcohol. Easy pass.

HDH Holiday Wine Tasting (HDH Offices - Chicago IL) : Tasting, brief note. Powerful black fruit concentration, but the ripeness and new oak are just a little too distracting to me. Well made in its style, and I understand why some people like this a lot, but it's just too monolithic for my tastes.

Lacking somewhat on entry and mid plate with a huge red berry finish. Still a little heat. Even after 4 hour decant. Not the best Bond I have had. Still seemed somewhat tight and lacking what a wine at this price should deliver. Much better wines out there for far less $$$$$. Not impressed.

I loved this wine. It was a monster and I loved it. This needs at least a decade in the cellar to really enjoy it. This is from Spring mountain so that means mountain fruit and hence massive tannins. I love it and it was dense and thick in my favorite manner. Long lasting finish which I still remember. Unforgettable.
