Straw in color, this sparkling wine showed bread dough and subtle citrus on the nose, minerality and yeasty notes on the mouth feel, and pleasant, zippy acidity on the finish. Overall, a very tasty, well made sparkler.

This blend of 60% chardonnay and 40% Folle Blanche just might become our go-to sparkler for casual occasions. Bright acidity, yeasty and dry, with an undertone of nice honeyed funkiness. Fun and festive, but with enough subtle gravitas to keep geeks from smirking. Screaming deal at <$15. CellarTracker regional info is currently incorrect: Pays de la Vienne is in SW, part of the Loire, between Poitiers and Tours.

Alcohol: 12% Nice sparkling wine made by the traditional method. (This wine is a little more austere than Bele Casel. I like the Bele a slightly better but I would buy this again.)
