I had this great bottle of zinfandel tonight. It was mountain grown, with great fruit, balance, acidity, and even a palpable streak of minerality. Oops, it wasn't a zin after all, it was the most elegant Primitivo I've ever had, and no wonder, it's grown in one of, if not the highest, DOC's in Puglia.
