This wine is NOT for everybody. When I poured it people thought it was a cider, cloudy slight amber color and just so unique. On the nose it is everything, impossible to explain because you can literally taste 100s of different aromas. Pickles, wool, asparagus, lemon, bruised apple, honeysuckle, and that is likely only half of the first layer. Easily the most divisive wine of the evening. Russk. One of the most interesting and enjoyable white or orange wines I have had recently. Every sip reveals something new. Funky but really good. I've also had the producers petulant Cabernet Franc. Also very good and funky. I like this producer. Keep an eye out.

If I had drunk this blind I would have said that it was funky cider. It is cloudy,yeasty and with strong acidity that saves the day. I really liked this well chilled but as it warmed up the myriad flavors that evolved were not always to its advantage. Still I am happy to have a case of this.

Well, I can't say I wasn't warned; this really isn't like any other wine, including the orange wines to which I'm very accustomed. I do wish I was warned how much I'd love it, though. Deep, edge-of-moldy apricot and cantaloupe, quince paste, a wild, lanolin-laced snarl, and petrichor are the primary aromatic elements here, and had me thinking more chenin than sauvignon at first.
