Very good, complex fruit and mineral nose. Nice texture and long finish.

What a beautiful wine. Started with some reductive notes, but that blew off. The nose is deep and complex with beautiful floral notes and a spicy, cool red fruit core. The palate is full of energy and verve with spicy cranberry, mushroom notes, warm spices, and red florals. It's medium-bodied with a beautiful airiness to it. Spectacular.

Agree largely with silvercup's notes. Quite tannic and stemmy, and also quite acidic, making this quite structured. Also, excellent concentration of dark red fruit. If I had more, I'd lay it down for a long time. Has the backbone and fruit to age. Also agree that this had the sensibility of a well structured Cali syrah, with notable spice and good lift. Intense, dark, earthy. Pretty tannic and black for a pinot. Really earthy but with good fruit. Dense and very round. Slightly overripe though with some raisin/prune qualities coming through the cherry/raspberry aromas. Also, there was some burnt earth/burnt orange components that lent an extra layer of complexity. Was not very Pinot-like overall, but was very complex and entertaining.
