Wines ranging from 1945-1990 (Strasbourg) : While rather full-bodied with pleasing peony notes, a rather short and bitter wine. Sure, it has “held up” 50 years later, but not terribly inspiring either.

A lovely full bodied bordeaux. Smooth on the tongue with no strong tanins or lingering flavours. A fantastic table wine.

Still fairly deep color w/pale edge. Somewhat corky and closed-in nose. Hard feel in mouth, not very forward, but some fruit and cab characteristics. Some wood and depth, short finish.
