Sutton Grange Viognier Estate

Nose and palate both show a harsh sulfur note in the foreground; it mostly blows off after about an hour in a decanter. Behind the sulfur, there are some rather appealing flavours. Nose shows notes of apple, peach, and pineapple. Palate is slightly sweet and oily, with ripe flavours of apple, quince, lemon curd, and spring onion. I enjoyed it, but the high sulfur level is a definite flaw.
