Disappointed, think it was past its best.

Private Tasting (@Private location) : Popped and poured. Clear, medium- garnet color. Intense and very interesting nose with complex aromas of cloves, acetone, oak, smoked bacon. Dry, with high acidity. The complex, cool aromas continued on the palate, but the combination of raspberry juice, smoked bacon, oak, and other spices is not everyone’s cup of tea. Clearly not Burgundian style, but complex and long. Medium+ body, 12,5% abv, drinks fine now, but will continue to develop for several more years.

After some hours rather fine. First far too strong teutonic oak flavours (smoke, smoked ham, smoked sausage) ... which integrated to a certain extant. After four hours mostly harmonious. Still definitely not the best Buntsandstein I had ...

A good pleasant wine. A little to much acidity though.
