Was over the hill but interesting aging notes. Bubbles almost fully gone

Happy New Year! Wonderfully dry. Brioche, green apple, hint of pear.

Well made. Clean, if a bit round. Looking for a bit more definition and cut that perhaps age might bring.

Underwhelmed again, bubbles fade quickly after pouring. Aromatically pretty shut down. On the palate there are lots of biscuity, toasted honey flavors which are nice but no liveliness. My husband really loves this and would give it 90+ but for me it is a miss. Glad this is the last one!

dark and mature already: honey, brioched, heavily butter fried toast, some oranhe and lime cedra. Nutty, creamy. A bit too full and heavy for my taste but still very good

I bought these about 5 years ago from Garagiste not really understanding which types of champagne I liked best at the time. For me this wine is much too dry for my tastes. Tastes like an extra brut with a lot of salinity. I think I would have enjoyed better if paired with cheese or oysters, but as a cocktail without food - definitely not in my wheelhouse.

Just like the other Frank Pascal Champagnes I've tried, this needs time and air to open up. Starts of a bit numb with mostly white flowers, a little nuts and a bit of funk. After a while some yeast, lots of apples and grape turns up. Bu the big treat is on the palate. Medium+ body, with high acidity, at first tart but in the end quite round and refreshing. Good mousse, high intensity and a long, filling finish. Would …

Way better than the previous bottle. The dosage still sticks out a little bit but the wine feels more balanced this time, and the apple and pear fruit is lovely.

Confusing. I read about this wine in CG.net and expected an extra brut. but this wine felt highly dosed. and in fact, it's not an extra brut - it's dosed at almost 10 g/l. it is creamy and smells and tastes very good, but does not achieve great focus or balance, and i think the dosage is off.

Pineapple freshness. Good heaviness too the champagne. Big spicy bubbles.

Terres et Vins de Champagne 'a Portland; 5/17/2013-5/18/2013 (E&R Wine Shop, Portland OR) : Mineral aromas, but the whole thing is soft and creamy. Really thick palate texture with nice depth. As its held on the palate I feel like I'm exploring down a cavern. Lovely. The finish shows nice creamy lushness. Pleasing stuff that I think will improve from here. 90+

Honning, rdbrsfylde, brioche, mandel og skogbunn. Honning og sitron i munnen. Savner litt kompleksitet, men god konsentrasjon og frisk syre. Overraskende mye modning. 88p.

Some honey and nuts showing, balanced with lemony/green apple richness. Fine bubbles, elegant and so different from a year ago when I tasted it and it was quite muted. Lovely now.

Beautiful light yellow colour. Initially closed on the nose, after a while there are some mineral and flowery notes, red licorice. Really fresh on the palate, orange, slightly creamy, excellent persistence, after taste with citric flavours and mineral notes. A different champagne from byodinamic agriculture which paired extraordinary well with dried red tuna fish from Barbate and acorn-fed Iberian pork products (chorizo, salchichn, lomo).

This was a really, really nice surprise. A beautiful, classy Champagne from a new-to-me grower with a miniscule 3.5 hectares in the Valle de la Marne. Granny smith apple on the nose, along with something like pie crust or even waffles. A panoramic mid-palate that starts with more juicy, crisp apple, then the acid hits, followed by a buttered toast component before entering a lovely long, chalky finish. A gorgeous expression of the Marne terroir. Will seek out more.

Nice champagne. Very fresh. Recently discouraged 12 oct 2010. But I noticed a sulfur effect the next morning.....it was this one or the heidsick 1985. Will have to see next time.

Dry champagne a bit muted at beginning. The aromas come after a while, elegant, classy. Not sure about the price tag though
