Fading yes but still some decent raspberry fruit and leather notes with a smooth finish considering the age it has held up well. Last bottle couple months ago had me thinking it was over but still some redeeming quality to it but don't hold DRINK UP.

Agree with Wongstonn most recent note. Have been enjoying this this vintage bottling from WTSO for last couple years. Always delivered but fruit is giving way to more tertiary notes with cloying tannin finish. Drink'em up while they're still drinkable.

Grenache-athon 2024 : We thought this wine fully developed, drinkable, but past its best. Full bodied with flavours of stewed and dried fruits; blackberry, figs, prune, and bramble.

This Clarendon has been such a treat for the QPR. Have enjoyed couple cases over the last few years and even though it is showing it's age it continues to deliver an enjoyable Clarendon aged Grenache experience. So happy to have a few more to see if it continues to deliver.

Dense concentrated red fruits along with smoky bacon. Smooth and integrated. Takes no prisoners. Medium nose. For lovers of big wines.

Still singing with raspberry fruits smooth and fully resolved tannins. Luving it. Glad to have several more to see how long it will hold up. Have been enjoying this vintage for several years now gone through couple cases and killer QPR at $23 I got them for.

This bottling of Clarendon Grenache just continues to deliver a great QPR considering the clearinghouse price @ $23. Have had a case of this over the last year with some slight bottle variation but always a solid Grenache that you'd be hard pressed to match for the $.

Consistently good Clarendon Grenache and great QPR. Nice red cherry raspberry fruit with some earthy leather notes silky smooth and so easy to drink. Decanted for 1.5hrs to allow it to open. As last reviewer noted could be time to drink as it's showing its age but glad I have a few more to see where it goes.

I love Clarendon Hills Grenache !! Like CDP from down under at peak !! I agree with my notes of the past year and a half !! Perfect cork easily removed after almost a decade and a half in the bottle. Day 1: This bottle is not nearly as good as the previous. Sour fruits, floral, sweet prunes and heavy earth. Not a flawed bottle but certainly one past its peak. Nothing like the other experience. 75 points Day 3: Two out of three of these were excellent. Day 3 it is showing sweeter fruits, some spice and floral notes. Not undrinkable but certainly not the 2 92's of the other bottles. Acutallly better on day 3. 82 points Recommendation: I …

Pop and poured because we were looking to finish our little party with one more wine. By far the cheapest wine of this day but it held its own. Lots of bright red raspberries on the nose and pallet with a bit of spice. Ok mouthfeel and finish. Not very complex but very easy drinking. Great qpr at around 25. Really nice wine at a very reasonable price point. Would buy again.

When first opened, the wine has an awesome nose of liquorice, bourbon, and black raspberry. After a few minutes, there's also a note of damp leaf litter. Palate shows sharp acidity over a background of soft, faded tannins. The fruit is outrageously powerful, with flavours of plum wine, soy sauce, and pencil shavings. The wine has a fairly strong vinegar note, which is honestly pretty unpleasant on its own, but the fruit is powerful enough to cover such minor faults. …

Been sitting on this bottle for a few years almost afraid to open it. Was worried it was over the hill. Wow. What a surprise. Purchased this bottle shortly after release. Beautiful tonight. Wonderful. Developed. Mature. Plummy but restrained. Tannins completely resolved. Zero heat. Zero. Etoh 14.5%. Truly a beautiful bottle of wine. The reason collecting wine and holding them to maturity is a passion we all share. Perfect bottle, perfect drinking window.

This winery is one of my personal favorites in Australia! Always making very good and reliable wines year after year and I am not talking about their Australis, but just almost every Syrah they are delivering. This one has super dark color, no signs of aging, heavy body, nice legs :-). Opens with huge amount of wood, dark earth, some funk. Within a single hour dark fruits came in, mostly fresh and cooked plums and some of the earth was …

What a pleasure! Brought from Sidney November 2004. Perfectly matured for almost 12 years in my cellar. Fantastic wine. A lot of jam here! Cornel, pomegranate and dry fig jam and crèmes de cassis. Then comes roasted tomatoes, beetroot, anise and grilled beef and just a touch of smoke. Big, bold, fully bodied with a lot of perfectly soft tannins. 45 sec long aftertaste. Drink now or wait two years. 95+

Another great Syrah from Clarendon. A great bottle with lush dark fruits that opened nicely over couple hours with velvety smooth spice and chocolate notes. Another great QPR from WTSO at around $35. Two more and thinking it will get better with a couple more years in the cellar if I can wait that long. Would grab more at this price if it comes available again.

On the first day, the herbal elements that are typical of CH dominated, with a bit of beef broth undertones. By the second day there was enough fruit to round out the wine. Ideal with meat. Less captivating than were 2004 & 2006 vintages but nevertheless an impressive and enjoyable wine.

This is a wine that keeps on giving. A clear deep purple, clean on the nose, with a pronounced intensity of black currant jam, rasberry and cherry. The palate is dry (just), with high acid and medium tannin. A full body, with raisins, jamminess, and cloves, bordering on a liquoriceness. Long finish, very good wine. After thirteen years, this is still fresh and flavoursome - a very happy wine.
