Carménère Reserva 2015 from Casas del Bosque is a premium wine which is worthy to say few more words; Carménère 100%, wine is kept in oak for 10 months; This Carménère has delicate but powerful fruity character with concentrated ripe, baked dark fruit mostly cherries and plums, you can also feel tobacco, wood-vanilla and touch of herbs, pepper. Well balanced with good after taste. Enjoyable!

Drank on BA flight. Would agree with the others' scoring and notes a nice fruity and somewhat ethereal wine but not in the same league as top ones like Purple Angel (if you like that sort of style).

Soft but nicely balanced wine, easy drinking without feeling in any ways cheap.

Medium plus nose shows green pepper, blackberry, dried plum, anise, sour earth, baking spice. Palate is sweet and spicy, blackberry, cinnamon, bell pepper, anise almost like a black taffy, medium tannins are smooth, medium body is actually a little lighter than expected. Nice quaffable style, very good QPR.

Great fruit in bouquet, soft on the tongue, initial fruit that fades fast, slightly sour finish. Not too hard on alcohol.

Retail $11. Peppery and spicy with loads of fruit, smokiness, and just a touch of greenness. Refined but also rustic, which is a wonderful contradiction. Very rich and even syrupy, this is a real fruit salad of a wine, even a fruit cake, as there is a certain perceived sweetness with all that fruit. 90K cases. Big. Shiraz-like (winemaker is an Aussie). Very Good. 87-89 Points. www.thedrunkencyclist.com
