My last bottle of this wonderful wine. Still has florals that remind me of a mock orange bush we have in our yard. On the palate, I get more unctuous elements like apricots and cantaloupe. Still has solid acidity to balance it on the finish. Quite a nice wine.

Kendrick’s Wine Club (67 Pall Mall, London) : Our first time trying this vintage and not the most typical of VdC as the wine lacked that intense mandarin marmalade we usually associate with it . Still impressive and beautiful, rich but effortlessly balance and definitely punches way higher ( as always ) than its price tag. Probably the best complement we can give it is that it arrived at the end of a long wine flight and probably fell on …

This seemd a bit developed (quite dark in color) but still showed reasonably well with dried apricot, honey, some spice, orange peel, raisin. Lovely stuff.

Appearance: Bright and clear, the wine is of deep gold colour, with fading rim and legs. Nose: Clean, with pronounced intensity aromas of citrus fruit of orange peel, green fruit of quince, dried fruit of raisin, stone fruit of apricot, tropical fruit of mango, floral notes of rose, maturity notes of honey, kernel notes of almond. The wine is fully developed. Palate: Sweet with high acidity, the wine has medium alcohol and full body, with pronounced flavours of citrus fruit …

Delicious golden nectar, fresh orange and citrus fruit on the nose and palate with a delightful sweet candied sugar and honey finish.

PnP for a Christmas dinner Rich and honeyed, I enjoyed this wine but I was disappointed at its lack of acidity. Wanting to see how this opened up with a little extra time.

This was the 3rd bottle I opened from 6 in the cellar throughout the years, and this was definitely better than the previous ones. It matured well, and is very complex, sweet, but not too sweet. Dark yellow, tones of orange. Hints of apricot. We had it with apple pie and vanilla ice. Not a bad choice...

Another fun dinner of favorites (Amali in NYC) : Interesting wine although at this point very end of the night. It's kindof your typical dessert. Gets overshadowed by the D'Yquem we also had that night. A decent choice if you want something nice and sweet. There were other more interesting wines on the table.

Fantastic desert wine! Golden yellow, rich, concentrated, It has mellowed in the last 2 years, perfect with our once a year pairing with the ripe, floral & insanely decadent Indian mangoes which in my opinion are the best mangoes on planet earth! 94

Awesome Vin de Constance and a great pleasure to drink at 12 years of age. Beautiful deep orange colour. Very classic and intense nose. Palate is rich and fresh...this was treat! Drink or hold for at least another 10 years.

Wow, easily the best Muscat I can recall having. There's some Gewurz flowery spice on the nose along with honey. Palate has this incredible marmalade, orange peel, toasted nuts, and finishing with a twinge of quinine bitterness that makes this superbly gulpable. Wow.

CDP Session (Rayas) (Extra Space) : Pop and poured. Appearance is clear, medium intensity, reddish gold colour. Legs. Nose is clean, pronounced intensity, with aromas of honey, sweet gum, apricots, dried orange peel. Developed. On the palate, sweet, high acidity, medium- alcohol (12.5%), medium+ body. Pronounced flavour intensity, with flavours of salted caramel, roasted nuts, honey, dried apricots, dried orange peel, pineapple. Long finish. Very good quality. Still manages to remain rather light on its feet, but it does have …

Light golden bronze color with good shimmer. Nose is still in the primary stages and gives up only a little toffee, sage, almond extract, and marmalade. The palate is pretty amazing and obviously, has decades of future potential. Fully lives up to the pedigree and reputation. 5+11+19+10= 95

Fresh Seville orange nose, candied fruit. The palate is unctuous with intense orange flavours, lots of acidity, mouth coating and almost warming as it slides down the throat. Already excellent. Looking forward to how this wine evolves with age as I have number of bottles left to enjoy.

This might not be an accurate review as I think that this wine is passed its prime. Very oxidized with fairly simple flavor profile.

Light amber colour, lifted perfume nose full of floral, but pretty concentrated, along with raisin, apricot, tea leaf, honey and dry fig. Nice complex nose. Luscious entry with good concentration, showing nice sweetness level and not overwhelming, supple palate with fresh lively acidity. Complex notes of apricot, tea leaf, honey, dried raisin. Long lingering finish with hints of smoke. Not a super rich luscious wine but it is so balance and harmony. An enjoyable and lovely wine.

Color: golden medium dark yellow Nose: wow! Stunning! Orange, wild honey, a seductive nose, beguiling, I left some in the glass to savor at the end of the night and thus just blew me away, first time drinking the Klein and what an impression, this wine just confirms the excitement of discovering a beautiful wine - an intellectual experience....a humbling moment Palate: medium bodied, beautifully balanced, sweet & luscious, orange peel, delicious apricot, heavenly elixir, a real pleasure to drink …

A stand-by bottle replacing an over-old RSA Gewurz at our Easter Dinner with all the family. Intense herby grapiness; viscous and immensely sweet, the whole balanced by a powerful acid spine. Not a hint of botrytis and at 12.5% not over alcoholic. In my view, while drinking very nicely now, will evolve and have a future of at least 25-30 years from vintage based on the structure of this wine and my experience of other very old unfortified RSA muscats …

I've had plenty of vintages of Vin de Constance and they all share the quality of outstanding sweetness and length, but there is always something missing for me - probably botrytis! This is just the same, albeit tremendously well made and very satisfying.

Amber color shows aged wine. On the nose, aromas of apricot, mango and honney. On the palate the fruit is more subdued than on the nose. Early on it has a a spicy molasses cookie taste. followed by sweet apricot and apple tree honey. The wine is good but not as good as the 1999 tasted this year. I think it may have aged past it's prime.
