El Coto, Blanco, Rioja

Nicely sweet but not cloying.

On the nose subtle pungent currant notes. Medium bodied, dry, rather crisp and fruity, felt initially a bit generic but with some airtime there was some lime and grapefruit flavors added to the yellow fruit. The palate was carried by firm acidity. Had a bottle with the Seafood paella at Mälaren restaurant in San Agustin. Overall solid with good value.

Mild aftertaste

Blind tasting, it has a nose very similar to a Riesling. Very nice, light, aromatic and great with white fish.

Do NOT mix this with their semi sweet product with the same name. What an absolute delight. With white Riojas the sky seems to be the limit. Fresh and velvety, complex and fine with beautiful and grippy acidity. Up there with Mosel Rieslings. Nose: gooseberry, litchi, flint, ripe lemon, lemon zest Palate: gooseberry, granny smith, chalk, lemon zest Medium acidity, medium+ lenght

Smells and tastes like modern Viura.

I was pretty disappointed with this wine

No way this is a 70. A decent different white wine, lighter in style with some fruit and acidity. Food match or quaffer. It's ok.

Definitely sweet, but fruity and smooth. Great chilled for summer !

A - pale greenish N - white fruit, pear, melon, citrus T - accidity medium, body medium, primary flavours, alcohol medium C - good. Balace, lenght, not very complex Easy style, easy drinking. Fresh for Rioja blanco. No oak, which i prefer in this type.

From my parents cellar. Served slightly cold. Conglomerate cork. Faint yellow colour. Simple but very effective wine. On the nose it is showed floral, with citrus and white fruit notes. Soft and direct. On the palate it is acidic on the central palate corridor with a steely touch slightly astringent but tasty finish and with a decent persistence. Worthy representative from La Rioja.
