I really liked this wine. Made more in the style of White Burgundy, this wine is big and immensely fragrant. I get citrus & lemon on the nose. In mouth the wine is medium bodied but packing a punch. Flavors include lemon, slight sweet pink grapefruit, limestone and hay. A blend of Sauvignon Blanc & Semillon makes this just like the old world does.

Interesting wine for me. Definitely full citrus flavors (grapefruit, lemon, lime) that are balanced, but not as bright as I'm used to. I don't know if it is the Semillon that keeps the lid on the brightness, but something sort of tamped down the acidity and replaced it with more mineral and stony flavors. Once I was able to process everything, I really enjoyed it. Wish I had another bottle or two to give this another go later, but nonetheless, …

Pale straw yellow in color. Full, fragrant & attractive nose of ripe aromas of citrus notes of lemons/limes, grapefruit with wet stones & gravel, beeswax, flinty, minerals, some floral notes & a hint of grassiness in the background. Medium-light bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, zesty, ripe citrus fruit flavors of lemons/limes, white grapefruit, mineral driven with gravel/stony notes & a slight touch of honey in the background. Lingering crisp & dry finish. Drinks …

Nice. Apricot up front at first, pear, lemon and refreshingly light.

Wines Before / At / After a Passover Seder (The Krengels - Bannockburn IL) : Small glass. Distinctly grassy aromas with lemony flavors, this came across as slightly bitter but also warm on the finish. Not my style of Sauv Blanc.

Retail $20. Under screw cap. For a winery that produces several wines north of sixty bucks, this wine seems like a steal. And it is. Fairly pale in the glass with oodles of tropical (guava, papaya) and tree fruit (apricot). There is also a bit of white pepper and a seashell/salinity aspect that is quite compelling. The palate is tart, but not overly so and is paired with great citrus fruit and a lengthy finish. While I don't ever pretend …

Really grassy on the nose. Or really Napa. On day two. Fleshy and lively. But with some texture to it.

Drinks like a much more expensive wine. I’d put it up there with the Sauv. Blancs Araujo once produced. Kiwi, honeysuckle and lime zest in the nose joined by honeydew melon on the palate and fresh grassy notes. Medium bodied with great texture. Finishes ever-so-slightly sweet, making this a nice sipper before dinner. Our style of SB. Drink now to 2024. Worth Seeking Out.
