Strong smell of bandaid or plastic; also dirty diaper, some black licorice and berries. Substantive and smooth. Enjoyed from start to finish. Remembered hint of oak last time we had it but that was not evident this time.

WIML88,NOWA,NOWS Tasted November 11, 2006 at a retail tasting. Opened and served in a Reidel Restaurant Magnum glass. Garnet color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of black beries, a touch of cassis and a bit of violets. Flavors or red cherries, red berries and some licorice notes. Medium acidity, tannins and body. Drink over the short, perhaps midterm.
