Showing well. Pure, red fruited. Quite acidity and fresh on the palate, giving it a rather narrow entry. But nice depth to the crunchy red fruit flavors. Needs some time to expand and soften. A '19 that is well scaled.

Medium red. Very nice fresh red cherry, menthol and warm spice nose. Vibrant acid driven red cherry, berry and plum flavours. The finish is fresh and long. Love this.

Offered by the glass at Cree Wine. Deep ruby color. Cherries and roses, with a hint of iron filings. Good acidity and tannins present but not intrusive. Paired superbly with duck breast, parsnips, and cherries (thanks, Andrew!)…Nicer than the La Gerla by some ways. I love Walter Speller on this wine: “Old fashioned in a good way.”

First had this when visiting the winery in 2023, and waited til now to open up the first of the bottles we brought home. Gave it an hour in the decanter and it was perfect. Beautiful balance, excellent intensity, and a nice long finish. Beautifully made wine, can’t wait to open the next bottle in a couple years.

This is wine number ten from a case of mixed 2019 Brunello's. I let my wine sit in a decanter for several hours before I began tasting. On day one it didn't say much. On day two it had mellowed out a bit. It tasted of dried Cherries. No change on day three. I think that this wine will benefit from about eight years of cellaring. Is it worth $59 a bottle? Probably not.

A nice and solid qpr BDM, the 17 worked better than the 16 for pop and pour (16 Normale needed 2hrs and was best on Day 2). The 17 is accessible and evolves in complexity over a short time, a very nice ready to go everyday bdm.

Leather, tarragon, pink roses and bing cherry on the nose. Tight tannins with bright red fruit on the palette. Very enjoyable. Definitely needs a 2-3 hour slow ox to shine.

Pale ruby in colour. Medium plus intensity on the nose. Quite a bit of herbal notes, sage, cloves, dry orange peel, leather, fresh red roses, truffle, sarsi, red date. Very pretty on the nose. On the palate, the acidity is high with high tannins of fine grain texture. Medium plus alcohol, medium plus body. The acidity and flavours are quite expressive, herbs, spices and leather, but the flavors are not yet fully developed. Well balanced and elegant as a BDM, …

This is wonderful, tradtitional Brunello di Monalcino. Aromatic from the first pour, cherries, leather and sundried herbs rising from the glass. On the palate more herbs, roses, leather, cherries, bitter almond and minerality. There is good freshness and nicely melted tannins, the only sign of a warm vintage because there is otherwise no sense of an extremely dry and warm year. Complimenti! I think this drinks so well that the 2022-2027 drinking window added by one user seems reasonable, although …
