Richard Kershaw Wines Chardonnay Pivotal Elgin

Not usually a lover of chardonnay, but this doesn't have those grassy/oaky hits that I don't like. Clean and crisp, enjoyed by both me and hubby. Very pricey though, so there'd be lots of other whites ahead of it to buy again.

Benchmark Tasting of Chardonnay (Offices) : (Tasted Blind) Light yellow in colour with lifted aromas of apple and pear blossom, oyster shell, quarry dust and light spices. The palate enters rich with a well-integrated oak influence, a fabulous line with intensity, and a mineral undertone. Juicy orange and Meyer lemon join with fresh white nectarine cut by incisive acidity, leading to an excellent, long finish. Great concentration and lovely vibrancy with some sea salt as it closes.
