Golden colored. Mature. On the nose has a combination of honey and petrol aromas. On the palate it is round with notes of white fleshed fruit and nuts. Seems to lack a bit of acidity and does not to seem to be able to stand much longer ageing. Different in style and much more mature (made from much riper grapes?) and round than the even older Assyrtiko from Argyros (2006 vintage) I had recently which seemed to have lots of …

pink tinged nose- zesty, lively strawberry, fresh floral, great nose mouth - rich mouthfeel, mouth fuller than nose would suggest, good acidity. a very interesting wine.

Wine House CMS Tasting: Golden color; Honied, aged character, caramel oxidative like a S. Rhone white; bright tea, honey, herbs, apricot pit, bitter almond, clay, earthy minerals; almost tannic (12 hours skin contact, 12 months untoasted large cask); very cool stuff dry, but completely different from the other styles of bright fresh mineral Assyrtiko.

Gloriously 3-dimensional, full and creamy, but most characterised by its lovely bitter-butter underscore. There is considerable toasty power here (and 15% alcohol), but great acidity and well-defined savoury aromatic notes stave off any dangers of gloopiness. I dare say that this is a credible if wackier alternative to white Burgundy.

Fully mature displaying a dark gold color and an evolved nose with canned pineapple, honey, beeswax and sandy minerality. Med-full bodied, fairly sweet and fleshy with balancing acidity and a long aftertaste. Drink now.

From 750ml. Opened and poured. Bright, light yellow colour. Nose is lychees, some oak, not especially expressive. Palate is much better. Slightly to acid opening, but lots of tropical fruits and interesting mid palate of oak and butter. Some minerality on the end with a touch of bitterness. Chablis like in some ways. Complex and long too. In a good place right now and shows off how far good Greek wine has come.

Almost golden in colour with a Hermitage like nose showing pear, pineapple, hazelnuts with hints of oak. Broad and massive on palate with vigorous acidity, low tannins that balance full body and 15% alcohol. Creamy and intense showing mid-term ageing potential. Up to 7 years.

Expressive with a very ripe nose -result of late harvest style- with an almost tropical character showing banana and pineapple. Full bodied and round, needing however more acidity to balance high alcohol and very intense fruit. Long aftertaste.

A different and not unpleasant grape experience, (Assyrtiko) Lovely nose has gooseberries, and some lemon. and on the palate some minerality, good acidity and predominantly yellow stone fruits. Very Chablis like as well.

Clean and refreshing with some minerality - not unlike a decent young Chablis
