Not a whole lot of power but well resolved. Black fruits and bitter cherry (slightly) notes along with hints of anise and vinegarette. Enjoyed this one.

Drank with mushroom risotto. Very good combination. Deep garnet colour. It has that lovely smell of aged Nebbiolo. It smells like cherries, blueberries, forest floor, roses and herbs (thyme?). Before the food, the expected tannins from a Barolo. But still very nicely aged and balanced bite. Perfectly melting together with the food. Perfect timing. Drink now.

Okay for a 2009. Drunk with a 2010 of the same wine which was a lot better

Just a little bit flat with truffle tagliolini . Lightly of Burnt oranges . Not much life left? Worst / least good bottle so far. Hold last bottle of 6 as a test.

Very good but just missing something. In a sweet spot after a 2 hour decant at cellar temp. Light, long and we’ll balanced. Slight burnt orange.

Awesome Barolo Chinato. A clear Nebbiolo signature shines through the sweet and bitter herbal character. Gorgeous red cherry notes. I purchased three bottles about 10 years ago. I drank one, gave one away and saved this bottle. Wish I'd bought more! This definitely improved.

Flott frukt i munnen men litt tynn munnfølelse.

Medium-light in body, with color suggesting age beyond its years. Savoury in nose and palate, with upfront spice fading to graphite and enjoyably lingering aftertaste. Suggest this is good to go now.

What a great surprise! First experience with this type of wine, but surely not the last! Excellent balance between sweetness and bitterness with plenty of aromatic intensity to give it great length. Fun.

A private lunch (Restaurant Blue Hill at Stone Barns, Pocantico Hills, NY, USA) : Wonderful spicy depth on the nose, very expressive, complex and deep, bitters and roses, medicinal, Alpine herbs; the palate is off-dry, with a delicious bitter-sweet sensation, a hint of cocoa, fresh and with the sober tannins from the base wine, transparent and precise; flowers and peaches on the lifted finish, very good length - a bit like a perfect Manhattan.

:-9. Smaking med Luca Roagna selv på gaffel og karaffel: Ok frukt, svak lukt rett etter servering, åpner opp, milde tanniner, lakris, portvin. 390 NOK

Dinner at Bar Boulud (Bar Boulud, NY) : wow - what a lot of stuff in this! Bitter almond, sweet cinnamon tea, cherry pits and cherries to the hilt. fantastic and excellent pairing with the Coupe de cerises at Bar Boulud, NY.
