Similar to prior note after double decanting for 2 hrs; outstanding, drink or hold, likely a long plateau, no rush

Good Wine with an Exciting Super Bowl (The Krengels - Bannockburn IL) : Walkaround tasting. Rich with really exceptional balance pulling this through a long, impressive finish.

Massive, almost overwhelming, concentration and lots of sediment. Explosive fruitcake, cassis, and charcoal flavors. Huge blue fruit nose. Will wait until 2030 to open next bottle. If you must pop now, stand the bottle up for a day and give it a few hours in the decanter. Outstanding wine, but it's screaming right now and needs way more time.

My favorite Bevan Cab Sauvignon from Stags leap area. Gorgeous concentration, fruit forward, blackberry, fruitcake, licorice, sweet cedar wood, long rich finish!

Cellared since release, perfect cork and fill. Dark purple. Intense nose of ripe dark fruits, cassis, spice, oak. Huge body, flavors follow the nose, ripe lush fruit, decent acidity, moderate tannins, long finish. Excellent to outstanding.

Still pretty young. Big bold fruit, tannic. Would certainly decant 2-3 hours next time.

Deep ruby color with a bouquet and flavor of dark cassis, blackberries, minerals, and sweet oak. Big wine with tannins not completely integrated marring the balance a bit. Good depth with a long finish. Should improve with more aging. A very nice wine.

Deep purplish red. Seems to have shut down a little bit with notes of spices, sweet wood chips, cassis and raspberries. Medium plus tannins (7/10) with a full body. Tons of minerality on the palate with dark berries, spices and twigs. Needs to develop some more before opening another. Drink till 2038.

Definitely many many years to go as the heat and strength is still there. I would not try this for 10 years. After 2 hours the improvement was substantial. New cat. Hl 1. Sharp 2 nose 3. Fruity 3. Some cherry on the initial palate and medium long palate.

Ripe fruit balanced with nice acidity. Youthful but approachable now with room for improvement for sure with age. Very good.

Opened in the bottle for 3-5 hours. Ripe but almost a burnt/roasted fruit quality to it. Seem disjointed, syrupy and alcoholic but still packed with complexity. Hold for 5 more years.

Decanted and served. Powerful, focused cult Cabernet that evolved beautifully over dinner. The young tannins paired with the bright, lush black fruit to form a puree experience in the mouth. This wine is all about the fruit but there is plenty of buoyant acidity to last many years. 96+

Either a bad bottle or its shut down. My 4th bottle and this vs others was not approachable. I would not open this for at least 3 years, Dont get me wrong, this wasnt bad. Just tight, even after 2.5 hrs.

No notes. Excellent wine. Took 2.5 hours to open but when it did- Awesome. Can’t add intellect tasting notes except for the wish I had two more to open in order to lay them down for 2-3 more years. Drink now but maybe better 2 years from now.

An incredible cab. Super concentrated and balanced. Just a fabulous wine that is still incredibly young. I am holding my other bottle for the longer haul which I am sure will be well rewarded.

Previous notes apply from last year. It was very smooth and inviting; it was significantly better than a 2013 Rivers Marie Cabernet we had alongside it. This Wildfoote had some nice licorice, anise, and signature Stags Leap black currant notes that added interest throughout consumption. It also displayed a dusty cedar note on the back end after getting some air, which was pleasant. Very good. 94 points is a nice way of saying, "For $200 bucks, I honestly wanted a …

Wow! Drinking well now but still has a lot of years to go. Tannins are there but very unobtrusive. Fruit is present but not over the top, some cedar in there as well. Finish is clean with a really nice texture.

Quick note from memory - no detailed tasting notes. This '13 vintage is so different than the usual open for business right out of the gate Bevan wine character. Nowhere near as much upfront fruit, a lot more structure and they're really tight and seem to need time. Drank this over the course of two days it it was coiled up the whole time. Showed great depth of deep, dark fruit with surprisingly nice balance. Has a ton of potential. …

Needs a 3 hour decant minimum. See prior notes. Average balance and finish. Not a fruit bomb. Expensive juice but I guess welcome to Oakville. This is still NOT in its prime. Revisit 2017

Rich, lush, full-bodied cabernet. Black cherry and cassis come through. Lighter oak than many cabernets. Quite smooth and perfect for those who like robust, fruity cabernets with light oak. It was a very enjoyable wine!

Bevan Cellars and Showket Preview (Capagnola Trattoria) : Nose of cassis and mocha. Surprisingly lean with strong acidity. Lot's of mocha but the overall structure was nice.
