Mommessin Beaujolais-Villages Nouveau

Here's the perfect Nouveau for Nouveau haters like me. It's fresh and soft with pretty fruit that doesn't taste raw or grouchy like the nasty DuBouef versions I remember first tasting in the 80's.

Le Beaujolais Nouveau est arrivé! I am old enough to remember the days when Beaujolais Nouveau was a poor and scrawny wine, smelling of boiled sweets and banana. There were wine merchants who put out banners saying: "Le Beaujolais Nouveau n'arrivera jamais"... The hype has died down a bit, but the quality has improved.
