I echo the last reviewer...this is drinking extremely well right now. Was very good on Day 1 after a 2 hour decant and frankly superb on Day 2. Wish I had held more for Day 2. Am very glad I held it this long, got it in Oct 19 as my local store's wine club offering of the month. Wish I had another. Incredible QPR. Cab, Merlot, Malbec, Petit Verdot blend from Sonoma North Coast.

Quick taste. Lovely nose, mild oak, excellent intensity. Balanced, poised, with sharp acidity. Drinking well now, but has room for improvement.

Day 1: Really impressed with this wine in other vintages. This is bit hot featuring spices, dark fruits and menthol. So typical of warm-climate Cabernet Sauvignons: Fat, fruity, plummy and pruney, it resembles a Cabernet Sauvignon from southern France more than one from Napa Valley, southern Sonoma County, Bordeaux or Washington state. It's almost like an old-fashioned "dago red", but that's perhaps the style that Marietta is looking for. A tasty and mouthfilling red wine, but not an indicative Cabernet Sauvignon. Drink it now.

We had this wine in a double blind tasting this past week. Unfortunately I left my notes behind. However, I can say that this wine has some great potential, but is now far too young to drink. The fruit was overwhelmed by the tannins. It was a pleasant wine, and I would expect the rating to improve with time in the cellar, perhaps 3-6 years.

Dry, medium-full-bodied, medium-full acid, peppery tannins, flavors of blackberry and ripe black fruit. Well made and enjoyable. There's a fruit forward quality but it's restrained, like the wine overall, which displays ripe fruit in a laid back package. Everything's nicely integrated. This isn't a show stopper, and the structure is solid but not lingering, but it's well worth the cost - it's just well made all around, balanced and thouhtful (if a wine can be thoughtful). Similar review: for the price, this is a great cab blend for a steak grilled with salt, pepper, red pepper flakes and rosemary. With stir fried veggies: snow peas, a little asparagus, red onion and a few halved cherry tomatoes. Drinking well now.

I am reluctant to review this wine because local suppliers might run out. This garnet-colored, estate grown Geyserville Cab is simply a steal.
