Somewhat hot nose, with hints of cassis and oak. Oak and fleshy fruit in the mouth, with distinct acidity, mild cedar perfume, and firm tannins, blending into lingering stems. Excellent pairing for fatty beef. Tannins are perhaps a little stiff on its own. Tingling from acidity and puckering from tannins provide length. I enjoyed this. Particularly good with cote de boeuf. I think this has the stuffing for more age.

Black fruit dominates the vegital nose. The mouthfeel is tannic and so dry, it feels like you have gauze around your tongue. Structure is no problem, but the fruit is lacking.

Outstanding value for the money. Anything under $20 that tastes this good deserves a 90!
