Great Yeast notes on the nose and flavor just wish it had more fruit.

An enjoyable champagne to be sure, but certainly not worth $80...buy their NV brut instead.

Lovely. Crisp, elegant, stony citrusy chardonnay based champagne. However, there are better blanc de blancs out there for the price.

Mailly like to make the occasional exception, just as they like to make the (more than) occasional exceptional wine. This is 50% Pinot Noir from the village of Mailly…so far, so normal, but also 50% Chardonnay from Avize, the Grand Cru village in the Côte de Blancs. The Chardonnay adds buttery hazelnut richness to the more usual biscuit and savoury descriptors associated with this house.

Toasted in the new year with this Champagne. Good to close the year out with. Had a slight lemon flavor with strong apple flavor.

A bit better than my previous bottle of Mailly Exception. Very good bubbles and a great lemon and bready flavor. Had with some scallops and some grilled caesar salad. Was out with friends so that is about as detailed as I can get.

marginal. No deep notes, but it was okay, reasonably crisp with typical citrus notes...but did not excite me at all.

Reminiscent of a top tier dom. Strong apple nose but a crisp dry pallette. Interesting dichotomy but quite enjoyable. Will buy more for quality champagne deserving occasions.

Lovely BdB champagne. Conveyed richness without weight, with a lovely balance of yeast, apple, and mineral flavors and aromas. Superb way to ring in the new year.

Fine, leaner-styled artisan Champagne. Very strong Chardonnay notes, and a noticeable smoky nose with a long, long mineral finish. Lots of pucker on the finish -- dry and fine. Perfect for accentuating a meal, and more enjoyable than the top of the line L'Enchansons.

Very yellow in color - clear bottle explains why it was in a box upon purchase. Did not have time to take notes so only providing overall impression. Enjoyable.

This was good but not great. Sunset yellow with earthy, barnyard nose and other earthen aromas. At 13 yo, I expected more complexity and depth than what was offered. Effervecence was muted and maybe not stored correctly? It was good but I wouldn't recommend it to a friend.

great aromas, apricot, some butterscotch, hints of vanilla and smoky minerals, very intriguing, luscious and full bodied, good after-taste

G+. Gift from Minh. Nice at first, nice bubbles, but then a slight unpleasant taste. Had it at Red Fish Grill for our Anniversary.

A very lean, crisp style of blanc de blancs; shows the expected notes of green apple and lemon zest, with a very nice limestone finish and an odd bit of candied ginger on the midpalate. Moderately toasty, with good acidity. Well-balanced, finishes long.
