Domaine Cauhape, Symphonie Novembre, Jurancon

A nose of caramelised butter nose. Maybe there's a touch of smoke? A touch mushroomy too. Some obvious sweetness on palate. Very good palate. Really good balance. Working very well.

Peach, ripe red apple, pear, quince, citrus and honey, with good, fresh acidity. The wine had a hole in the middle, but the flavors re-emerge nicely. Felt rustic and sandpapery, needs time. Alcoholic and a bit simple.

Lovely hedonistic beeswax, wet hay and almost reminiscent of an Australian semillon except sweet. Will save the remaining half bottle and follow along the week.
