Still delicious. Red fruit, violets, lavender, herbs, spices and lots of earth. Delicious with the pizza and pepperoni and the mushrooms.

Deep red with hints of tawny at the edge. Dark fruits on the nose. Excellent balance with just the right amount of acid for 10 years in the cellar. Med-Long finish.

The wine looks ruby-colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like strawberry, red currant, prune, mineral, and lead pencil. The body is light/medium. The wine has a smooth texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity.

Double decanted and consumed at a local restaurant. A very nice, easy to consume Pinot that is lacking in wow factor.

Dark red fruits combine with wonderful spices and underbrush. Layered with good richnes. Well balance of alcohol, wood and fruit. It gained complexity to the very last glass. This could use an hour decant or another year or two in the bottle. Good juice!

Still drinking very well! Some age has really helped this bottle with much more muted fruit and more complexity. Terrific stuff! 91+ Points | Wine Advocate “The 2013 Pinot Noir Gap’s Crown Vineyard (15% whole clusters used and 65% new French oak aging) exhibits a dark ruby color along with a big, sweet bouquet of kirsch liqueur, raspberries, redcurrants, pomegranates, Provençal herbs, and loamy soil. Medium to full-bodied with rich, zesty acidity as well as a long finish, it should …

A nice sturdy wine, If you're looking for the IPOB-type of PN that has been the fad the last few years, this ain't it. Black cherry, and, maybe, plum, on the tip of the tongue. Some spiciness--cinnamon? Surprisingly (for PN) noticeable tannin, Good acid.

Red fruits, cinnamon and underbrush complement one another in this expressive Pinot Noir. Good texture and length. Broad shouldered from a Patz and Hall Pinot, but it is exciting. Good juice.

Big, muscular, and fruit forward. Delicious, luscious, and silky, if you like the style. Unlike many California Pinot Noirs, this is not overdone: shows balance, developing complexity, depth, and a texture which will pair well with a variety of different foods. Dark, ruby color with a cherry rim and a solidly medium body. Medium aromatics, displaying flavors of cherry cola, spicy dark raspberry, chewy caramel, pine forest floor, and some rocky minerality. Wonderful balance of fruit, acid, and oak. Long: …

Dark fruit dominate the palate with a touch of spice lingering on the finish. Good structure. Enjoyable but really one dimensional.

These wines are getting a little big and over the top for me, and that's saying something as P&H was always just a little more restrained than, say, Roar. This opened with aromas of berry, cherry, vanilla, leaves, and a little spice. Kind of the same in the mouth, but flatter and heavier on the fruit and oak. A little one-note on that score, and a little sweet.

We are fans of the P&H style which explains the higher score compared to other CT folks. This has sweet cherry, spice and a smokey undercurrent that combine to make it complex and thoroughly enjoyable. Upon opening it was a tad rough so I put it through the Vinturi once and it was good to go. Just stellar!

Drinking beautifully. Lots of fruit, very juicy and lush but focused at the same time. Long after taste. Not a huge nose, but great mouthfeel and flavor. A little bit of smoked meat and then some sour cherries on the tertiary. Why wait any longer?

Really rich for a pinot but it doesn't lose it's way. Dark cherries, a heady aroma of potpourri, mild clove, and some other surprising savory notes like olives, albeit mild. Finish was medium. Delicious pinot but I'll let the second bottle rest to see if it turns into something that merits the price. I'd pay thirty for this, but right now can't say this justifies the $50 or so.

Exactly what I was looking for in a Pinot Noir that goes with everything. Bold red and dark cherry flavors combined with earth, pepper and spice. Prominent tannins still, but great balance and supple texture. I bet this will be fantastic in a couple of years.

Perfumed nose of lush, ripe black cherry, vanilla and hints of cola; rich, silky, mouth filling, ripe sweet cherry with smooth, glycerine like mouthfeel; Lush, ripe, fruit driven Sonoma Coast Pinot with ample acidity and a long, lingering finish. Dijon clone fruit from a cool, fog influenced vineyard that is one of the last blocks picked each year. 25 barrels produced.

Enjoyed over two consecutive days. PnP into a large Riedel Pinot Noir glass. Displays a medium bodied texture and ruby color. Made in a more masculine style. Day 1: Clearly needs either more bottle time or a decant to come together as it seems disjointed. Upfront bright cherry, and earthy aromas and flavors accented with menthol and light evergreen aromas and flavors. Still noticeable oak at mid palate which makes it a bit unapproachable. Drank two glasses, resealed and returned …
