I quite liked this, but hasn't been my absolute favorite Pinot of late. More restrained and balanced than many Sonoma pinots. Not as much of a fruit bomb. Opened up nicely after about 30-60 minutes.

This was (barely) a step above the last bottle of Sean's Pinot and confirmation that I'm definitely not a fan! A tart acidity that was over bearing and totally dominated the finish. In fact, I would hope that his integrity would prevent it but if I didn't know better, I'd swear that a huge dose of acidity was added post production. I should clarify...bitter acidity!��

Deep rich flavors of black cherry in an extracted style that will please a new world palate. Aromas jump from the glass and it is packed with ripe fruit. The finish is long, but the tannins need another year or two to soften. Definitely a new world California Pinot that you would expect from the Santa Lucia Highlands.
