Dievole, Chianti Classico, Novecento Riserva

Translucent ruby colour with brick reflections. Inviting nose of fresh cherries with bubblegum and cola flavours, some fresh tobacco leaf. A whiff of oak that dissipates quickly. Medium to full bodied with mouth packering tannins and a long and enjoyable finish. Very easy drinking and enjoyable with lots of aging potential.

Composed of 95% Sangiovese, 3% Canaiolo, and 2% Colorino grown in Vagliagli UGA, this has a lovely, medium-high intensity, ripe and perfumed nose of sweet spices, red and black cherry aromas. On the medium-full to full-bodied palate it has very good concentration with and very nice aroma replays joined by mineral, tobacco, and herbs adding complexity to the dry flavour profile. It's elegantly structured with youthful, chalky tannins and juicy acidity. Finish is long and warming, yet well-balanced.

A bit hot bouquet, also ripe, smooth cherries, pure, a bit shy in the midtaste, but showing persistence and balance in the aftertaste; still very young.

Light cherry, blackberry nose. Warm on the palate with restrained fruit and very little tannins. Lengthier finish as it evolved in the glass. This wine has definitely peaked and perhaps is fading a bit. Nonetheless it was still very enjoyable paired with pasta.

In my opinion the wine is already a little bit "tired" and this was good moment to drink it. Tannins almost not present already, cherries and violet on the palate.

Red currant and earth nose. Warm ripe red fruits and forest floor on the palate with soft tannins and light acidity linger on the lengthy finish. Time to drink up.
