Deep dark garnet with little age showing. Nose is exceptional - ripe, rich dark fruit with earthy components and a little forest floor. On the palate cannot be mistaken for anything but Italian and Sangiovese. Ready to go without any decanting and absolutely delicious with a medium length finish. Med + acid and alcohol (although not obtrusive); med body and medium (ripe) tannins. Excellent and one I will keep an eye out for... Oh, and WS gave this 81 points …
