Nice citrus flavors, grapefruit and some tart lemon, moderate acidity, medium length finish, was best after a few hours and at ~60 degrees, paired well with ponko chicken. Nice.

My last bottle. Deep gold, almost amber color. Decanted for 1h. Skin contact signature for me of ginger, herbs, ginseng aromas w fresh, crisp gala apples. Gala apples, ginger, ginseng, herbs, mild dry cider elements w mild-moderate tannins on midpalate. Nice acids. Nice balanced finish. I really like this wine. Well made and delicious but it speaks more strongly of the skin contact winemaking than either the grape or terroir. ,90+

This is the last of two bottles we picked up at the winery. On the nose, it’s fascinating. When we first opened, the nose was straight dijon mustard, but that blew off. After, it was peach/apricot, some lanolin, thyme. Some muskiness/spice from the skin contact. On the palate, it’s medium-tannin, and enough acid to give structure without being overwhelming. The palate is more savory than the nose, with a strong thyme/bay influence, some fruit. Very nice, and ready to drink.

Skin contact vermentino. Decanted. Now 2.5h later. Aromas of mild ginger, ginseng, tart apples, lemons, minerals and bark. Apples, grapefruit, bark, mild ginger and ginseng, minerals and mild tannins on midpalate. Nice acids give lift. Medium bodied. Nice lingering finish. Savory and delicious.

November 2019 Trip to Sonoma : Noticeably darker in color than the her's. The nose is phenolic/pine resin, apple skins. It's a shockingly hefty nose for what looks like a modest amount of skin contact, based purely on color. It smells like a really manly perfume. On the palate, it's pine fresh, bruised apple, apple skin, and herbs. The texture is pretty thick/waxy, but it still has plenty of acid to feel fresh and zippy.
