Nose of sweet red fruits, kalamata olives, spice notes, cinnamon, baking spice... nicely balanced, medium weight, good acid and matching tannins, sweet red and dark fruits with baked spices, developing into sundried tomatoey type flavours and then into almost biltong on the long finish... QPR ++ great wine for $17AUD a few years ago. A cellar champion for that sort of money... easily another 5 years I believe... great to have a few more and see how it evolves.

QPR right out of the gate. Struggling to see an issue here, cracking Malbec from Oz.

Just a quick note for readers.. After having steaks for dinner it was most appropriate .. On a another lovely day in beautiful Whitsunday's this wine is just right for my region as its not too strong and with perfect balance .. On opening we have lovely black colour with purple rim at Oct 2023.. v/nice And again on opening we have lifted flavours of sweet blackfruits of plumbs , mulberries and NO clovey characters which you see in Mendoza …

There is a confectionary edge to the red berry fruits, but earthy and spice/pepper notes provide some balance. Tannins are subtle and well embedded. Perhaps not that varietal?
