Buttery toast. Crisp grapefruit in finish.

The wine looks light gold colored. The legs are fast. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like forest floor and mineral. It tastes like bark and black pepper. The body is light. The wine has narrow texture. The wine finishes short. The wine has medium acidity. ***Pairs great with strawberries.

This vineyard is producing consistently decent Chardonnay. Maybe not as complex as many Chablis but for the price it is tough to beat. I need to see what else they make and if I can buy it out east. Lots of fruit and acidity that makes it work for me.

Same notes as the bottle I had in May.

50% oak. Medium nose shows yellow flowers, yellow apple, peach, honeysuckle, oak notes, hint of slate. Palate matches in sense of New World but linear, mineral notes there too. Acidity medium, body medium, nice balance overall, medium finish. Reminds me of Oregon Chard. Nice QPR.

Suspiciously good wine. Just the right mix of fruit and acidity without the heavy dose of vanilla I expect to find in inexpensive California chards. Will have to find more.

A classic expression of Santa Barbara. Bright notes of pineapple, citrus, and orchard fruits, delivering a beam of freshness and acidity that carries through on the lively finish. Beautifully balanced and complete.
