Big, rich, ripe and jammy. not my style at all. You could tell strong winemaking here but just too over the top in all facets.

The aroma is a delightful blend of vibrant red and black cherries, accompanied by subtle notes of dusty earth, while herbal characteristics are quite limited. This wine is full-bodied, with a rich and smooth texture that makes it easy to enjoy, yet it doesn’t compromise on depth. The finish is elegant and long-lasting. I can see why WA rated it so highly.

I could tell there is a strong winemaking effort but this was much too ripe and jammy. The tannin structure was impressive though.

Flickinger Tasting at The Casino (Chicago, IL) : Yeah, really not my style. The stylistic differences next to a Heitz Martha's are on stark display. Fully lacking in acidity, this is raisinated, with lots of sweet black fruit. Kind of like prune juice in that it's also too sweet to boot.

Was lucky enough to taste this at New Years Eve event and it was outstanding! I have enjoyed many wines from To Kalon and this lived up to the lofty expectations.
