Nearly the 4th July - North America (Crouch End Cellars) : Rich and luscious, but with excellent acidity that cut through fatty meat and cheese and was delicious. A core of apples and melon, I'd happily sip this anywhere. Very decent. Label a bit embarrassing, but I suppose it is their "brand" - before this evening I'd have avoided it in a shop as it looks juvenile and cheap. I now know better. Lovely stuff.

Independence Day wines with TWS crew (Crouch End Cellars) : Greenish scents to the nose, along with some creamy leesiness and a touch of oak. Quite streamlined on the palate despite being overall pretty soft. Slightly buttery, good depth. I'd gladly drink this again.

Visit to Sleight of Hand in Walla Walla (Walla Walla Sleight of Hand Tasting Room) : Lychee fruit. Some minerals. Good balance. Also some apple and pear fruits. Good persistence of the palate.
