Not as smoky or concentrated as 2018, but still a charming Volnay. Medium ruby colour. Intense aroma of cherries, strawberries, barnyard hints, underbrush, earth. Medium body, bright and vibrant structure, slightly rustic earthy fresh red fruit flavours, high acidity, medium light refined velvety tannins.

Medium ruby colour. Medium and developing nose with ripe raspberry, ripe red cherry, forest floor, mushrooms, black pepper, dried herbs and violet. Medium taste of ripe raspberry, strawberry, ripe red cherry, forest floor, mushrooms, dried herbs and black pepper. Long and dry finish. High acidity. Light tannins. Medium body. A very good Volnay that has matured beautifully. Drink now would I say, but would make another five years, at least. Goes well with mushrooms, pork or veal.

Decanted for an hour before drinking this time. Much more flavor up front with same smooth dry aftertaste. Good wine.

Classic light red burg. Nothing special but good wine I’d drink again.
