The Seventh Annual World's Largest Blind Tasting of American Sparkling Wine (My House, Houston, TX) : Retail $55. 100% Riesling. Extremely Heavy Bottle (868g; 30.6oz). Golden in the glass sherried and rich on the nose with just a slight hint of petrol. Yowza. The palate is much of the same, and I love it. Baked apple and fresh croissant with that sherried note that is fabulous. Outstanding. 94 Points. url=http://www.thedrunkencyclist.com]www.thedrunkencyclist.com[/url]

Retail $55. 100% Riesling. "Hate" is a word that I try very hard not to use. It is an extremely strong word and should be reserved for only extreme circumstances. There is far too much hate in this world and adding to it, even if by merely mentioning the word, should be avoided. Having said that, several years ago, I hated my job mostly because my boss was horrible at her job and I suffered as a result. Why do …

91+ really restrained sparkler! Lemon notes on the palate , acid line still holding up. In a really interesting spot right now in terms of what it is giving up on the palate . Still years to go

The Fourth Annual World’s Largest Blind Tasting of American Sparkling Wine; 12/20/2021-12/23/2021 : Retail $55. 100% Riesling. "Extended Tirage 44 Months." Yeah. I know what this is. The purpose behind a blind tasting is just that--to be "blind" as to what is in the glass. But. When you know there are exactly *two* Rieslings in the lineup and you come across one with that distinct petrol aspect, well.... Holy crap. That nose. Rich, fruity (Meyer lemon, kumquat), mineral, layered. Holy …

Very bubbly, a little over carbonated for our taste - we swirled it a few times. Lots of mineral, some light pear, and a little smoke. Quite dry finish. Pleasant, but a little pricey for what it is.

The Third Annual Blind Tasting of American Sparkling Wine : Retail $55. 100% Riesling. Certainly on the golden side here, with citrus, yellow apple, and what I could swear is a bit of petrol. That makes me think that this is a Riesling and I know there is only one of those in the lineup—the problem with single-blind tastings. Quite tart and perky on the palate, this is certainly outside the “norms” of sparkling wine. And I like it, a …
