Nice Syrah from Spain. Get better with time in glass.

Needs at least two hours of air in the glass before it opens up. Make sure you decant this wine! Right after opening it's closed, almost sour on the tongue and with no nose whatsoever. Two three hours later you still don't get much nose, but the palate is rich, full bodied w blackcurrant, liquorice and black pepper. Alcohol is quite high (14%) and tannins still rough, the wine is still a little rough around the edges and that makes …

Dark almost purple colored wine. Big nose and palate of raspberries, spice, vanilla and dark chocolate notes. Not very complex, but enjoyable nonetheless. A wine to sip not to ponder. SS 89 pts.

Dark berries and pepper on the nose. Matching dark berries and pepper on the palate, with a smoky minerality, almost like smoked salt, thrown into the mix. Respectable, spicy finish following a silky mouthfeel from the tannins. Could probably improve with a few more years in the bottle, but drinking just fine right now. Pop and poured through a Vinturi. Good QPR.

Surprisingly good to grilled food. I keep one for another year.

Berries galore. Nice upfront fruit. Soft tannins. Very approachable now. Excellent value at $15. Just a touch of spice. This is a really good everyday wine.

Burned oak, vanilla, blackberries, dark colour - surprisingly non-jammy syrah from Spain, certainly not the last time I tried this wine. Perhaps another year in the cellar will improve on this wine.
