Venica, Jesera Pinot Grigio, Collio

Amber, salmon, and gold in the glass, vivid and clear. An exotic aromatic mix of fresh quince & white nectarine, with boiled peanuts, honeysuckle, rose hips, flint, fresh tarragon, and celery salt. Lush on the palate, highlighting rich nectarine and yellow peach, with savory notes of autumn leaves, salted almonds, pressed hibiscus, sandstone, and hints of nutmeg. Rich. textured, and round, with seemingly low acidity while maintaining freshness. As it warms, gains unctuousness toward the finish. Ample depth and length.

I do not drink much Pinot Grigio, but I did find this wine pleasant. Obviously significant skin contact, but the phenolics are kept under control. Excellent food wine.

Karl House: Rose-peach color!--wierd looking (?); aromatic, swt trop frts, pineapple, melon, lemon banana, “acacia”; easy entry, lower a’s, then mth filling spicy notes followed by gd a’s and long fin! quince in there, very interesting, lots of char. Dual personality
